To our church . . .July 30, 2020
God has given His children a special authority, in Jesus’ Name, to bind the power of darkness and to loose His power on the challenge America faces. I encourage you to pray the following scriptures in agreement with me and others in the Body of Christ, and trust God to answer during these difficult days in our country. Also, as you read through other scriptures, in your daily reading, ask God to make His Word come true.
Psalm 33:10 – The Lord frustrates the plans of the heathen and thwarts their schemes.
(Lord frustrate the plans of the heathen (the globalists) and defeat their schemes)
Psalm 74:22 – Rise up, God, defend Your cause! Remember the insults
that fools bring against You all day long.
Psalm 140:8 – Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord; do not let their plans succeed.
Psalm 141:10 – Let the wicked fall into their own nets, but let me (us) escape.

The Governor’s Mask Order
Indiana Governor Holcomb issued an executive order on masks that went into effect Monday, July 27th, and will remain in effect until August 26th. If you wish to see the details, you can see the executive order here: https://www.in.gov/gov/2384.htm This order does not substantively change the guidance already issued to Indiana churches about the use of masks in worship services. Masks are strongly encouraged but not required according to the executive order. There are several exemptions to the Governor’s Order, including an exemption for churches. Under point #4, sub-point “0,” the order exempts Indiana churches from wearing masks while attending church and reads as follows, “any person attending or engaged in a religious service as he or she must already maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household.” Therefore, masks are not required for churches as long as the 6-foot social distancing is maintained; family members are not required to social distance. We have masks available for those who need or want them. One mask per person please, and they are provided for use in the Calvary Chapel church facility. We also provide hand sanitizer and have face shields available also. We encourage those who are the most vulnerable because of age or weak immune system to wear masks. As the state health officials recommend, masks are recommended but not required in the church.
We have provided the early 9:00 am worship service for those who are older and may be more vulnerable. That doesn’t mean others can’t attend the early service. The second 10:30 am worship service is for everyone else– families with children, youth, young adults, and for all other individuals. Again, that doesn’t mean the older generation can’t attend the 10:30 am service, they can. We merely issue this information as suggested guidelines. From the beginning of the COVID-19, we’ve encouraged us all to be patient, flexible, and gracious because things will change from week to week. You all have done exactly that; I’m so proud to be your pastor.
Baby Dedication, Sunday! We are so blessed to dedicate sweet babies Sunday morning.
Communion: Sunday morning. Please pick up your communion cup and wafer before coming into the sanctuary. That will be for both the 9:00 am and the 10:30 am service. Those watching by live-stream, please have your juice and wafer ready to go and follow the instructions as if you were there in person. You are just experiencing in a virtual way.
Children’s Ministry: It’s Back to Sunday School this Sunday, August 2nd. We have classes for children from age 2 through 8th grade. Those classes will be during the 10:30 am service only. Check-in starts at 10:15 am downstairs.
Youth Ministry: The Youth Classes will resume this Sunday morning, August 2nd. Normally the youth are in the sanctuary the first Sunday of the month, but for August they will meet for their class.
