Men, Tony Schabel will be speaking at our men’s breakfast Saturday morning. Breakfast begins at 8:30 am. Invite a guest.

God has pruned us in order to bear more fruit for His glory, and that is exactly what’s happening. As the church grows it’s important that we maintain a loving and biblically positive attitude toward one another so others know we are Christ’s disciples by our love (John 13:35).  God is bringing in all kinds of people from various backgrounds. Some are more in tune with our liking, some are not. However, we are called to love, forgive, and be patient with all. Some are new to the fellowship; others have been away from the Lord and have now returned, just what we’ve been praying for. The following verses come to mind as He is blessing: Colossians 3:12-13, “as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.”

  • Friday, January 31st: The Friday Night Bible Study, starting at 6:30 pm,  will be studying the book of Jude. Please come out and join us for food, fellowship, and the Word of God!
  • Saturday, February 1st:  Men’s Breakfast @ 8:30 a.m. Tony Schabel will be speaking.
  • Sunday, February 2nd: February Love Feast: Communion and Carry-In Lunch immediately following morning worship.  Please bring a dish or two to share, so there will be plenty for everyone!
  • Saturday, February 8th: Ladies Who Love the Lord Gathering; guest speaker is Ken Johnson, training First Aid. Biblical encouragement on Healing: wounds, sorrow, brokenness, forgiveness and God’s amazing love. Fellowship starts at 930, teaching at 10 am

Sunday Morning Services Live streamed

CC Update . . .

On Sunday, March 1st , we had our annual “Healing Focus” not knowing two weeks later we would not be able to meet as a body of believers that we were so accustomed and comfortable in doing. We began “live streaming” March 15th and have been doing that for the last six Sundays. This Sunday, the 26th . will be our 7th Sunday live streaming. Things have happened so fast with the COVID-19 pandemic; I’m still shaking my head. I believe God has multiple purposes in allowing this apocalyptic event to happen, not the least of which is for we Christians to reassess our priorities and re-align our purposes with the plan and will of God. As we surrender our lives, family, and church into God’s hands, we are in a position to go forward in confidence no matter how the pandemic and meltdown of the economy plays out. I’m reminded of the words of God to Joshua, after the death of Moses, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9). We can take heart with the power of God’s presence and the authority of His promises as we press on to some outstanding and supernatural works of God that lie ahead. Peg and I love you and pray for you.

 Bible Studies: Our ZOOM and FB Bible Studies are going very well; I couldn’t be more pleased. The men’s and women’s studies have been going for a few weeks.  We added a Wednesday night study and had fifteen people for the study. We will send the ZOOM address via email before the studies.

 Live Streaming: You can reach our Sunday morning stream at 10:30 am. If you miss it, you can catch it again at 1:00 pm and the rest of the day.  Giving: We pray that God is meeting your needs during this downturn in the economy. We appreciate your faithful giving to Calvary Chapel during these crazy times. We are still able to support our missionaries, ministries, and pay all the bills, and we praise His name for that.  “My God shall supply  all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ  Jesus.”  (Philippians 4:19)

HOUR OF POWER PRAYER

EVERY SUNDAY EVENING AT FIVE PM WE HOLD A PRAYER SERVICE IN THE SANCTUARY, TO PRAY FOR OUR CHRUCH, OUR CITY, OUR NATION & IT’S LEADERS, ISRAEL, THE MISSIONARIES, ALSO THE SICK AND HURTING. COME AND UNITE WITH US AND LEAN ON THE LORD IN PRAYER, ESPECIALLY IN THE UNCERTAIN  TIMES. Now with the quarantine in place we are having prayer meeting through the app”ZOOM’. Download it through your play store and join in on the Hour of Power Prayer meeting! Prayer starts at 5pm.

What do a cafeteria, art room, and a library have in common?         ANSWER:    GOOD NEWS CLUB!

Praise the Lord the good news club can meet in public elementary schools. Several schools of our area meet in cafeteria, art rooms and libraries. Ask the teachers: it is amazing to hear children singing with enthusiasm about Jesus. Some clubs even includes a pizza party {yes of coarse the children love it} and all clubs to include the gospel message. The best thing about GNC ? Children are believing in Christ as they’re Savior and God is changing lives.

Calvary Chapel now has a private prayer group on Facebook. You will then be available to post any prayer request at any time. This page is for prayers & praise reports only. Hopefully this page will help us who call Calvary Chapel our home to better pray for one another, and then expect God to hear and answer our prayer’s according to his will. Now is the day for the ones determined to consciously follow Jesus daily and spend time in prayer for our nation, country, state, city, neighbors, church and our families, that God moves on the hearts of people to turn to Him and serve Him, with all our heart, soul, mind , and strength!
