Jesus Christ, the greatest gift God has given humanity, has changed virtually every aspect of human life. Christmas is when it all began.
“Despite the humble origins, Jesus through His Church has made more changes on earth for good than any other movement or force in history. Just a few of the positive contributions Christianity has made through the centuries: Hospitals which essentially began during the Middle Ages. Universities, which also began during the Middle Ages. Most of the world’s greatest universities were started by Christians for Christian purposes. Then there is literacy and education for the masses. There are many more contributions Christianity made to civilization, but the greatest is that baby in the manger grew to bear our sins and make it possible to have an eternal relationship God Himself. We want to talk about this most wonderful gift to humanity in a Christmas message, Sunday. Tis the season to invite friends, family, and neighbors to church.
CC Men’s Breakfast, tomorrow, Saturday, at 8:30 am. Bill Volmer will share a Christmas devotional.
Christmas Carry-in meal Sunday after morning worship.
Prophetic Watch!
When the first president, of the newly 1948 restored nation of Israel, passed away in 1973, David Ben-Gurion, they left his home just as it was when he died and turned it into a historical site. One can visit his home. On his nightstand is the reading material he was reading at the time of his death. A copy of Hal Lindsey’s book in Hebrew, “The Late Great Planet Earth,” is there. It’s amazing to think that the first president of the new nation of Israel was reading about the prophetic plan that God has for Israel’s future.
