To our church . . .May 6, 2021
Today is the National Day of Prayer. The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). Only about a fourth of Americans truly believe that Jesus is Lord of the country. Can the Lord do something with only about a fourth? He can do amazing things with less than that. He’s always worked through the minority, not the majority. So that gives us some hope. If just a few believers cry out to God (and they are) for genuine revival/spiritual awakening (and they are), then we can expect something to happen (and we are). Great things from God aren’t coming because a handful of Christians get together on the National Day of Prayer, but because genuine Christians are praying, believing, and living out their faith on a daily basis. Stay tuned, God is about to shake things up. That’s good for the believer, but to the wicked, and evil schemers, it’s going to be really bad.
Take the time to pray for America the rest of today.
